The Bird Whisperer.

Ok, probably not.

We have about a dozen or so mourning doves that hang out in our yard everyday. When I let the dogs out, this happens...

 

Except for this morning. Today for some reason, one decided to stay. I let the dogs out and grabbed my bag of birdseed. I got about 3 feet from the feeder before I noticed him (her?) he never moved. I went back in the house and grabbed my camera...he stayed where he was. I was in his face snapping away...he didn't care. Then I filled all three feeders, including the one he was sitting on! I guess he decided he'd just wait for breakfast instead of having to fly back. ;)

 

 

Where have I been?

I've had stuff going on lately, and the weather is so...dreary. My camera misses me, I can't feel it. ha!

I am admittedly a summer girl through and through...but at times I can appreciate the beauty of fall. (I just wish it wouldn't turn into Winter.)

Fall. That dreaded time when the weather gets cooler...which means shortly after winter will be on it's way. And then sooner or later... snow. Ick.

Our new addition!

So, what do you do when you're visiting your parents, it nine o'clock at night and you hear barking? You're not sure when the barking is coming from so you ask your Dad. He tells you it's the neighbours 10 month old puppy...and they want to get rid of him. What do you do?
You call those neighbours the next morning...go over, get the pup bring him home, bath him and brush him...maybe pick him up a new collar and some treats....and bring him home with you.

Yup, that's what you do. Meet Harley! ♥

The Visitor.

It was a hot and sunny afternoon, we were all in the pool...three times this little dude thought he'd try to dive in with us! (Which is odd for a pigeon). After he discovered we we not going anywhere, he got comfortable on the roof and hung out there for over half an hour watching us. lol
It wasn't until I was editing the pictures that we noticed he has a band on his leg!
